Scanning From the Cab Instead of a Truck Shop

image scannerC.R. England Trucking Company has just announced that they released the “TripPak InCab Scanning” for their drivers.  This means that CR England truck drivers can now scan paperwork without getting out of their cab.  All a truck driver needs is an internet access and a laptop.  That’s it!  Then the driver buys the scanner from $140.00 to $150.00, depending on where they purchase it.

Truck drivers will have the opportunity to see one in person when the TripPak InCab Scanning is featured at the American Truck Show (ATA) this month and can be purchased right their at the booth for $145.00.

For several months, a handful of drivers for C.R. England Trucking Company have been testing this new scanning process and it has brought great reviews.  It’s easy to set up, use, and inexpensive.  After being tested and proven it is now ready for the whole company to use. This is a major trucking jobs time saver!

This is really great because drivers don’t have to stand in a line at a truck stop to use their scanner or fax machine.  They don’t have to look up truck stops that might have scanning capabilities for them to send in the paperwork.  They do get to stay in their cab and scan.  They also get the gratification of not having to print out paperwork to send back to the office, and helping the cause to become greener.

This is just another step in technology that is saving drivers time and money.  At CR England Trucking Company, they care about their drivers.  Chalk one up for CR England making life easier for their drivers. This product is a huge time saver, especially for independent contractors that are running their own business. If you are a driver or an incoming student, when it comes time to submit bills, the scanner is a real plus.

Truck Driving Classes Available

Thursday, April 15th, 2010

A major trucking company is looking for people who want to become a truck driver to go to school, then for them.  CR England has a driving school and they are inviting candidates to apply.  Once certified, the drivers are automatically employed with CR England.

This refrigerated carrier is the biggest in the US and is over 90 years old.  Their school trains their drivers in the most updated rigs that you would be driving as an employee.  In fact, they are never older than three years.  They have three schools to choose from across the country.  One in Indiana, One in Utah, and one in Southern California.  All three schools use the same “best in the industry “ curriculum for you to use as a driver.  Since you would be driving for their company, their classroom and over the road training, guarantees that the driver is completely ready to safely drive.

For the applicants, they receive transportation and living quarters during the duration of the courses.  Students only have to pay for their meals while at the school and they have a restaurant just below the hotel.

The course is only 17 days and then you are a certified truck driver.  Then you get the on-the-road training with a top of the line trainer for 90 days, and at that point you start to get paid.  After that, you are a full CE England Driver with a career on its way.

Truck Driving Jobs: The New White Collar Career

Friday, April 2nd, 2010

A couple of months ago there was an article in the Boston Globe that is all too familiar.  Ed Gullo is a  61-year-old news writer who has found a truck driving job as a FedEx truck driver. He is working as a temporary worker during the Holidays. He is out of one career and looking for another.

The article goes on about a 42-year old IT manager who is tracking packages and making deliveries.  They both have different aspirations, but ended up in the same place. Looking at truck driving schools as an opportunity to start a new career.

It is becoming more and more common that white-collar workers are taking blue-collar jobs.  In the trucking business, this is also becoming common.  Patrick Greene was laid off from Bear Stearns where he took care of top executive travel arrangement.  He went into truck driving and is very happy.  Patrick stated “It’s something I always thought I would like, and just never got to do.”  He’s happy and enjoys his new career.

Truck Driving is easier to get into than other jobs just by the fact that drivers are always needed.  There will always be food and product that need to be sent from one part of the country to another.  That translates into many truck driving jobs. Really big trucking companies a lot of times have truck driving schools and hire drivers upon graduation.   Take CR England Trucking.  They have one of the best schools out there and hire graduates immediately.  If you are interested in becoming a truck driver, go to our website CR England and click on Truck Driving Schools.  This may be what you are looking for; travel, flexibility, and hard work.
