Here is a quick bit on some recent news that was the last couple of days about a few Tech Schools that are adding to their truck driving school programs or adding more students to the roll.
According to the Coastal Courier, Savannah Tech in Georgia is adding a to their truck driving school program. They have even procured a former airport runway site to use as their driving track. Savannah Tech will provide the CDL program starting Oct. 5. A soon-to-be-constructed classroom will be put on the site on space made available to the college by the Liberty County Commission.
Here is a quote from STC President Kathy S. Love. ““We are very grateful to the county commission for allowing us to offer this training at this location,” and “It’s a continuation of a long and mutually beneficial partnership.”
The other Tech school that has had its truck driving school program noted recently is Moultrie Tech, of Georgia. Moultrie Tech has seen its enrollment spike this fall and their truck driving school program has ” already topped its own all-time high enrollment record from 2008 by almost 190 students this quarter with plans to add at least 20 more Commercial Truck Driving program students on its Tifton campus mid-quarter.”
This is great news for trucking companies that need to recruit drivers. Not all trucking companies are looking for recent graduates, but CR England is. If yoyu have recently completed a local truck driving school or are about to attend one, check out the job opportunities the CR England has to offer.
The Moultrie tech quote was taken from an article written by Staff Reports at The Moultrie Observer: http://www.moultrieobserver.com/local/local_story_271221508.html
