Truck Driving Schools Observing National Transportation Week

According to the ATA its time for National Transportation Week. Well it actually started on May 10th and goes until May 16th. An important message that the association wants to make sure is distributed is the message that the truck driving schools and truck driving jobs industry delivers the essentials that people need everyday.

The American Trucking Associations said Wednesday it is going to be celebrating National Transportation Week by reaching out and bringing many trucking industry outreach programs to public events around the country.

The American Trucking Association (ATA) said its Share the Road and America’s Road Team programs are representing the trucking industry at schools, naval bases, state trucking associations, truck driving championships and other events during through Saturday.

“National Transportation Week highlights the important role trucking plays in moving the American economy,” said ATA President and CEO Bill Graves. “Trucks are the sole supplier to 80 percent of U.S. communities. We deliver food to clothing to medical supplies – and we do it safely.”

The American Trucking Associations is the largest national trade association for the trucking industry. Through a federation of other trucking groups, industry-related conferences, and its 50 affiliated state trucking associations, ATA represents more than 37,000 members covering every type of motor carrier in the United States.
